About me

Welcome to the Treehouse! I’m a knitter, sewist and spinner, and I use this blog to document my makes and wanderings. I dabble in and explore many crafts, arts and handmade things, but I also enjoy time outdoors and tending to my balcony garden.

I’m interested in folklore, old ways, sustainability and seasonal living. Always dreaming about a radical new world. All my makes have cat hair in them.

Aspiring forest gnome and house witch.

Natural Dyeing: Red Onion Skins on Istex

Hi all, First things first: Depending where you are reading this you’ll have already noticed this, but I decided to redo my website layout. Don’t worry, this is not going to be a seasonal thing or whatever. Ravelry’s launch of their new website a bit […]

Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Hey there, As you may have seen on my instagram, I’ve been experimenting with a whole new branch of yarncraft: natural dyeing! I planned to experiment with natural dying since the beginning of summer, but you know how it goes, and well I only got […]
